Dear Parents,

We would like to welcome you to Sunflowers Academy & Preschools, a haven filled with love, happiness, and a bright and prosperous future for all children. Here children are exposed to creative and critical thinking skills. We work towards expanding our student's social skills through peer interaction, role-playing, fine arts, science, math, general knowledge, physical education and social studies. Their cultural experience will be enhanced through, interaction, through the world of languages, interaction with different cultures, story telling, history, foods and lots more.

Your input will serve as a learning tool for us in providing you with services you need to improve the learning of our children. Our School is committed to excellence in providing quality care to all our students.

Sunflowers Academy Head Start Program Now Open

Programs:

The Sunflower Academy offers appropriately age structured interactive academic and social activities that empower children to cultivate individual skill building, character development and positive social norms. Programs are provided in an environment supervised by trained and caring adult role models..

The Sunflower Academy program is designed to improve the academic achievement of young children and their parents, especially in the areas of reading and family enrichment. Through the development of a community library, a ?mommy & me ? health and nutrition program, and a strong literacy program, program participants will be empowered to achieve academic success throughout their school careers. Our children are exposed to and receive individualized assistance in developing their creative and critical thinking skills, peer interaction, understanding cultural differences, physical and nutritional maintenance. Parents are committed partners in this program and are also assisted in various areas thereby empowering them ! in their efforts to deal ore effectively with day-do-day family challenges.

BEFORE & AFTER CARE

We provide care for our students before 8:00 AM and after 3:00 PM for an additional fee. The before care program is from 6:30–8:00AM. The after care program is from 3:00–6:00 PM. After school we provide supervision, a snack, and fun activities and will allow students time to complete homework assignments. Students must complete homework assignments independently; this is not a tutoring service. More information can be obtained from the school office.
There will be a fee of $10.00 for every fifteen minutes after 6:00PM that your child is under our care. Please note if we are not contacted, or are unable to get in contact with you by 7:00PM we will have to call The Department Of Human Services.
